Friends of mine have them on their sleds and they work great crossing parking lots or carbide killing bridge sidewalks. However, they are bulky and tend to put alot of extra snow spray onto their hoods and helmets in powder. I can't tell you the brand name because I don't know. If they were easy to take on and off I'd get a set for late March riding, but I just prefer to avoid paved roads and long crossings.
I put on a set of Retrax wheels and loved them until I hit an open field of pow. I was totaly covered from the spray they kicked up. Took them off the next day. They take a while to put on and off so, that's not an option. They need some that totaly retract over the ski with nothing hanging out. Thay are a good idea that needs improvement. Mine were about $200
