They are not grooming in Ironwood / Lake Gogebic now. One of my co-workers knows a groomer operator in Ironwood and he said "you can't groom dirt." Looking at John D I would say to stay away. So maybe they get a foot in the next couple days if they are lucky. It will be lake effect fluff (junk) and any sled that touches it will blow it off the trail. So unless you want to ruin your $8000 firecat stay away until they get some real snow.
