Two choices, head east towards Erwood and run the fields there or west towards Prairie River as they have excellent snow in the fields as well but a little less as you go further west. Have to get within a couple of miles of Prairie River to clear the big bush and then head south.

sorry to bug you with another question but are you talking carving type snow in the fields and tree lines or just ok snow to ride through. Trying to really get an idea of we should go or cancel. Obviously its not mountain snow but last year was really good and not a great year. We donèt mind trail riding but want to do some good backcountry to.

I've only been riding north of highway 3. Haven't been over to hbay, but did find some excellent off trail in the bush. Waist to belly button deep. It may be more difficult to find over by the bay with the amount of traffic.

Up around Naicam/Melfort they got a pretty good amount, looks like maybe less the further north you go? In any case good after the melt, needs grooming now as fields are drifted, good in the bush though.

Geesh, plus 2 degrees C forecasted for Saturday up around Kelvington and Lintlaw. The 30kms/hr forecasted winds should keep it closer to zero or just below hopefully.

4-6" depending on area. Hudson bay trails were still in good shape, but fair bit of traffic and lots of corner cutting going on on trails such as the by the fir river shack. The snow will definitely help the groomers in smoothing out some trails. Any easy off-trail is quite packed.

Will be riding Kelvington Saturday during the plus 4 temps. Hopefully there's enough snow left by evening to get us back to our trailer in town at days end. Surely the first day of plus temps shouldn't cause bare spots that fast.
