Should I buy a 2024 or 2025 Adventure?

Looking at a 2024 non-current new Adventure 137 2-up 650. Good deals right now and still decent inventory.

Currently ride a 2014 Indy SP 121 track 600 and I like it. It is fast enough and handles well. Has 5400 or so miles. But daughter is getting old enough (6) to maybe hold on for short rides with longer rides in future years until she can ride herself.

Almost all trail riding with some railroad grade in northern WI (Oconto, Marinette, Langlade, and Forest counties).

Thoughts on the Matryx 137 vs the 121 I have now? Is the 2up seat comfortable? Is the 7s display worth it vs just getting a 137 XC and adding heavier rear spring and 2up seat? Are mirrors available that aren't by your knees?

Thanks for any info.

The adventure is a great sled. The 2 up seat is very sturdy and comfortable. I'm not sure on the Adventure it has the heated seat option ( some just have heated grips).

I enjoy my 7S. I really like the ability to have group rides and track where everyone is at. Do you need it? Of course not but I personally won't have a Polaris without one .

Good luck with your purchase. I remember years ago riding in front of my dad when I was about your daughter's age. 45 years later and still riding :)

Adding springs and the seat to a regular xc is exactly what the Adventure is. It also comes with the 7s and different front bumper. She will enjoy the seat, my daughter used to ride with me a lot. You'll forget she's back there. You can also take it off when not riding two up. As far as comparing it to the 600 you have now, the adventure is light years ahead. Nothing bad to say about them in my opinion.

Once you have ridden 2up on a 136" or longer sled, you would not consider anything shorter.

More comfort, stability, storage room, consistent ski pressure.

I have tens of thousands of miles riding 2 or 3 up.

I've done plenty of riding in that area of Wisconsin, give me a call and we can do some inservice training on the 7SDD gauge. It greatly increases your comfort level at night, and in poor visibility. You can ALWAYS follow your breadcrumbs back home, or to your previous stop.

There is a lot of those here in Michigan that were rental machines(2023) or factory demos for sale by dealers. $10900 out the door for one with the bag but not the seat ,it had 0 miles. They had them with seats for not much more with low miles.I went to look at it and it looked like it 5000 miles on it. Those sled are left out side all summer, in the hot sun, there was rust everywhere and very dirty. I ended up not buying it. I bought a 2024 650 xc 137. I paid $12400 out the door. I paid more but being most likely the last sled ,Im 71. I just wanted something that looks new. I would ask if it is a Polaris rental/demo that sat outside all summer. Hot sun is very hard on sleds and undelining problem could pop up you don't see when you bought it

So here are my options, not sure which way to go...

2024 Adventure 650 - $13,724 plus TTL and $250 accessories allowance
2025 Adventure 650 - $13,657 plus TTL

2024 Indy XC 137 - $10,919 OTD (including tax and fees), needs 2-up seat (about $1000) and not sure how much $$ to switch out the rear spring to the stiffer one.

2024 Adventure 650 - $12,200 plus TTL and $250 accessories allowance but it is 3 hours away and they had it sitting outside last winter.

Leftover 2023 Adventure 650 advertised for $10,999 (plus $250 accessories allowance) but it doesn't come with the 2-up seat so that would be another $1000.

I like the colors better on the 2024 and 2023 quite a bit better than the 2025. But the 2025 has a couple small upgrades (redesigned piston and higher heat rating spark plugs, better button and wi-fi on 7" screen) and is a similar price as other local ones but $1500ish more than the '24 a ways away.

Thoughts?

I have a 2023 Indy 650 Adventure 137. Mine is not a two up seat, but think it has a lot of features, that came standard, for the money. For instance: a front bumper you can actually lift, a rear tunnel storage bag, and the 7S. I would be hard pressed going back to a sled without it. Heard Ski Doo is making improvements to their nav system but the 7S is the gold standard. The 650 is definitely not under powered and is very reliable, along with easy on the gas, 15-17 mpg is normal and seen better than that. In actuality, it is very similar to the VR1 without the Walker Evans shocks….at least it was in 2023.
Good luck with your choice.

I found a dealer about an hour away from the cottage that is willing to do $13,151 OTD including taxes and fees and registration on a 2024. That is a really good deal, IMO. So I'm going to go with that as long as I can convince the wife (boss). Now I need to decide - red and gray, or two-tone blue. They have both. Hmmm...
