Does anyone know what weight shock oil for F7 snopro shocks? (5,7,10?) I have amsoil light and heavy available. light =5, heavy =10 I believe. Piston depth is 2" for anyone who is rebuilding their own. Thanks in advance.
Is it hard to rebuild shocks? I have an F7SP with @2000 miles. I don't feel a problem with the shocks but my dealer says I should do it because the change in performance is so slow you don't notice it. Are any special tools needed? Any place I can find instructions?
Its not very hard to do, but the equipment can get costly. Luckily a friend has a nitrogen charger and you don't need very many special tools other than some blocks which hold the shock in a vise without deforming the body. It costs about $30-40 per shock to pay someone to rebuild them, as opposed to less than $10 and some time to do it yourself. (After $100 or so for tools and supplies)
