I can assure you it won't go mail..

http://www.shippingmasters.com/

Try something like that, there are other ones cheaper, but that'll get you started...I shipped a quad in a steel crate from Michigan to Oregon for $450.

I shipped a quad from Florida to Michigan on R&L trucking (semi truck, straight pallet style) for like $200 my cost, but I got a deal..

For a dirtbike the best way to do it cheap would be a trucking company, such as R&L, Roadway, etc...just drain gas and secure it well and they won't care.

Contact your local dealer to see which shipping comany delivers their sleds. You may be able to work something out where the dealer will give you a crate to use. I shipped my f7 from MN to NY for $350.00

I worked for Roadway for over 7years. I did a lot of freight for buds that needed wheelers, sleds, bikes ect trucked accross country and into Canada. THe bast way is to get a create from a dealer(they usually throw them away so they should give them to you) and create the HELL out of it. The absolutly BEST way is to call Roadway and ask them about their SEALED DIVIDER program. THe sled or whatever gets loaded into the FRONT of the trailer(the smoothest riding part of the trailer) and has a wooden divider protecting the freight from the other freight on the trailer and it doesn't get touched until it gets to destination. Freight companies will move your sled(freight) from trailer to trailer in each "hub". THis is when possible damage can occur. The more it gets handled the more chance the create or freight can be damaged. THe program is a bit more expensive but its worth it.
Good luck.
