I'm heading out to the Bighorns in March near Burgess Junction. I'm
taking my 2002 600ZR. Does anyone know what elevation most of that
riding is? I think Bear lodge where we'll be by is around 8000 ft.
On the toolbox lid of the ZR it recommends
1) a gearing change of top and bottom gear and a different chain.
2) elevation 5000-9000 - yellow/wht clutch spring, 50 g cam arms and
53 degree helix
3) elevation 9000 and over - yellow/wht spring, 47g cam arms and 51
deg helix
I talked with one person who regeard for out there and said I didn't
need to get a new chain because you drop a tooth on the top gear and
gain a tooth on the bottom gear and it's essentially reversing the
gearing which still keeps the same chain size. Can anyone verify
this?
Also,Which elevation would you set up for?
Thanks,
Mark
