I have a 2000 Rough Rider snowmobile trailer with the clam shell and drive on/off capability. When I got the trailer it was missing some hardware for lifting the cover. The center mounted arms with gas shocks were all missing. It's hard to say what is exactly missing because the only thing left behind is a large bolt on both sides, brackets on the deck and another smaller bracket welded to the bottom edge of the shell on both sides. Anyone out there that has a trailer like this that could send me pictures of what they have on their trailer that might give me an idea of what I'm missing? The pictures will show yellow circles of the brackets in question. One of the pictures shows a gas shock, but it was broke and I honestly don't think it was mounted in the correct spot. Please let me know if you need measurements or more detailed pictures to help figure this out. Thanks.

On mine, i have an arm inside the trailer on both sides. The arm is attached to the floor plate (like in your pic). The arm attaches at the top in the clam shell. (your pic #2&3 top yellow circles). It goes thru the clam shell with a bolt outside of the trailer (your pic #4) On both of these arms is a gas cylinder that assists in the lift. Sorry no pics, trailer is not here......

Thank you for confirming this information, it's greatly appreciated. Does your trailer have the little bracket welded at the bottom edge of the clam shell ?(middle yellow circle in all pics) The previous owner had one gas shock attached to it, but the end of the shock broke off. Also, having the gas shock attached to the bracket would not allow the trailer to lift up in front like I want it to. I can't figure out what that bracket is for, but it looks like it was part of the factory install. I probably won't get around to fixing my trailer until late Summer or early Fall, if you happen to be able to capture a few pictures of your trailer that would be a great help. Thanks.

In your last pic there, I see a black arm going around the trailer? What is that? I don't have that in mine
I think the black arm you are talking about in the last pic might just be my black rubber strip that's part of the trim and also there is a rubber seal on the front and back where the lid closes. You also might be looking at the black wiring housing inside the trailer. The previous owner installed new Triton wiring for all the lights. He might not have installed it where the factory wiring was located.

I do not have the bracket on the bottom of mine. The bracket that is on the floor of the trailer? Does it look like there is another place to attach a rod toward the back of that bracket (toward back of trailer)? Reason I'm asking is when I first bought my trailer it actually had 4 arms on it. Two arm were so the front would lift, and 2 arms for the back to lift. When I bought it I didn't take into consideration the width of both my sleds. I got it home and my sleds wouldn't fit on it due to the 2 front arms. I took everything apart, I went with 1 arm in the middle of the trailer. I bolted it to the bracket on the floor, got in the trailer closed lid. I folded the arm down and it matched up with one of the interior support beams. I drilled a hole stuck a bolt thru, did this to both sides. I can still open from front or rear of trailer. I hope this makes sense. To me it looks like your missing 3 of your arms and gas shocks.

The bracket on the floor has 3 holes in it. 2 of the holes are directly across from each other, so I'm assuming it's where a bolt went through. The other hole is a just a little bit forward and slightly smaller. I was guessing that it attached the bracket on the bottom of the shell, but I have no idea. It looks like the bracket was moved at one time, but I
don't know if it's in the right spot.

HMMM mystery to me! Yes it looks like the bracket was moved. I am wondering if it was the 4 arm and one bolted in the middle of that bracket and the other on the outside of that bracket? Not sure, sorry bud.....

looks like your missing both scissor arms and both struts,, floor mount may have been relocated due to a wider ski stance ,, or may have been moved so not to clip the tires on a sxs or atv,, when clam shell top was removed I would look up the trailer at vendors site to see if they have a parts diag ,, most clam shells have the same set up on drive on and off ,, put mine to sleep already , so I cant take a pic for you

Yeah, I contacted the manufacture that made the trailer and apparently that model was discontinued back in 2007. The company was bought out by another manufacture and there is no records of any of the old trailer models. No drawings, part numbers, nothing. I did find something that might work from a local trailer repair company not too far from home. They can put together what was called the Triton 91 or 9100 Retro Fit Replacement kit. It's basically what I need, but I will most likely need to install new mounts to work with my trailer.

Update: I came across a trailer for sale that looks just like mine, but black. I contacted the seller and asked if he could take some pictures of just the center arms on the trailer. I'm going to share those pictures in case anybody else could benefit. It appears I could make these arms out of aluminum square tubing.
