i did the cam arm kit last week, although it really didn't need it and made no difference. Put on a new belt to see the difference...very little, so the original belt is back on now.

Wow thats excellent my 01 ZR 600 really needed a cam kit at 3000 miles and blew the belt at 4900 miles which I thought was great mileage out of a belt and my 02 ZR 800 needed a cam kit at 2800 miles and the belt was still good at the end of last season with 4000 miles on it. I wonder if Cat made improvements to the primary this year or is this 700 just that much smoother than the 600 and 800.

i'm very easy on drivetrain.. i actually sold my 02xc7 with 9300+miles still with the original belt.. and as far as i know they still have it on

lots of steady miles at 70+mph does that.

Last year only brought my xc in one time for service. I used to duct tape over the odo, because polaris has a 5000miles OR 2 years engine waranty. After the mechanic did his thing I asked him, "what do you think the mileage really is on this sled?"... He guessed 3k or so. I said, "peel back the duct tape and take a peek". The odo was at 7800 miles. He nearly crapped his pants

You know Rob I know where you ride it's great isn't it Vive L' Quebec, haven't made it up there yet this year :( but thats about to change soon. I like doing that trick too, how many miles are on it and people are like in disbelief. Although I only ride 4000 to 6000 miles per year :D the speedometer peek is still fun. Looking at your miles makes me want to relocate or at least rethink my retirement plans, Long Live the High Mileage Psychos.
