all counts ware your at most of the time farther north you go longer riding season. you also can trailer your sleds up to the hillz my friends were riding in june. it also matters on how cold it gets ive road befor at the end of september and then other years i dont get to ride tell halloween and it usally lasts on a average tell april. i seen this pic on snow west so i thought i would show ya 2006 Crossfire 700 / Thompson Pass, Valdez , Alaska / Travis Smith riding in June / Added 06/13/05
My Season usually starts around Oct. 10th and goes on to early- mid May. By that time of the year I am a little tired and I dont search for snow as hard as I do in the begining of winter. Here are a couple pics from last Oct. 9th. :banana:
5 to 6 months is pretty normal, but you can ride year round if you desire....there are tour groups here that take groups out to ride the glaciers. They use some decent sleds also, Polaris 700's single seaters and two ups.
