Registration Sticker Placement Dilemma

So I really have no good place to put my sticker without covering up the decals.
Do you guys think this would work? It's technically not on the cowling so I'm wondering if they'd give me a hard time.
An alternative would be the 2nd pic but it's not on the cowling either and kinda low

I always put mine similar to picture 2. But I run the long flat side of the sticker on the flat edge of the angle lower on the sled. In ny. I have never had a problem at all with that placement. I heat the body work up with a heat gun or hot blow dryer and then wipe it off with alcohol and let it dry then put stickers on. Most of the time they stay but I have had a couple stubborn ones.

I placed mine similar to pic 2. Granted, I'm from a different state (MN), and both of my sleds have there's in that general area. On my newest sled it was a real bear to get them to stick, more than likely due to a slight texture on the plastic. Tried heating the plastic and heating the stickers, but she just wouldn't stick. I finally bought some 3m adhesive spray. They're sticking now, but they kind of have that frosted fake Xmas window look.

Mine are on my tunnel. The Maine trail sticker is on the top of the cowl, but my reg and Vast are on the metal. Otherwise they'll fall off.

As it is I put plastic tape over both to keep them on.

The Maine sticker is on my cowl at the top left.

I did have LE say something once..but if I try to stick the stupid stickers on the cowl they fall off.

I'm very respectful when I explain this to the cop. My hubby too.

Wrap was spendy...and the stickers clash with the colors

Like the LE up IP way...writing tickets to folks on the side of the trail...with no posting...in a couple spots. Like, calling it "off trail".

I'd rather they just ask for a donation straight out.

2 years ago a NYS DEC officer tried to give my elderly father and uncle tickets for peeing on the side of the trail (backs to the trail). I had to calm the officer down and explain that they are old and their bladders aren't what they used to be.

For the record, I have NEVER had an issue with a sheriffs, NYS Trooper, or provincial police snowmobile patrols. It just seems to me that several (not all) NYS DEC officers are on a ticket writing power trips; maybe due to a quota requirement. Who knows?

I agree. It depends on the individual. I ride with a couple LE guys...I also don't have "problems" with the police. But there are those who take things a little too "seriously".

I have a ton of respect for people who "protect and serve". I was so close to joining at age 24. I mean I was ready to go through the training. But the "emotional" side of it...harm to kids, women, families...I felt I'd be too aggressive and react negatively and end up in trouble.

I'd have a very hard time not hurting someone who hurts others...exacting revenge etc. I was recruited by a couple detectives I competed with at the martial Arts school I belonged to.

My husband really didn't want me to go into law enforcement. In some ways I regret not doing it.

I taught self defense looong ago for the Park and Rec dept. It was very satisfying. Hopefully some of my students retained some of what they were taught.

Biggest tip? How not to be a victim. By just basic common sense. Really important. Especially for women.

Both my granddaughters have learned a few things from me...the youngest pulls no punches ;) and they both stand up for themselves.

The 10 yr old is dealing with a neighbor boy who plays a little rough (and omg she out weighs him by at least 20 lbs and 6"s in height, she's already 5'3" and 96 lbs) and he messed with her and ka-pow she let him have it lol

He no longer pulls her hair and all the other "pre-pubescent" stuff boys do to get our attention.

School called...we were laughing as she CLEARLY can beat this kid lol but my hubby explained that "boys just do that sometimes" to get our attention.

She us growing up way to fast. They both are. She's 10 going on 16 lol. She already told me she wants a white jeep wrangler, and she wants to start learning how to drive. No pressure lol

We got her brother a nice F150 Ext, hard cap painted to match, brand new tires...paid for brakes. So she's already ahead of the game😁

She is very pretty, she's a cheer co-captain, they have a competition this weekend. Very excited for her
That's her on the left...

I can't say about all stickers, but the ma. numbers were terrible try in put them on the left, and right side of my sleds 05 xcsp's hood. I cleaned the area's with rubbing alcohol, and then sometime applied the sticker on a warm fall day...had to be at least 60 degrees. A few days later the stickers were falling off. I was able to get replacements from the state. Put them on the windshield sides...they've been there ever since. Never got any grief from the epo's either after having to stop for registration checks.

I thought I'd cut and paste the NY rule for sticker placement off the NY parks and rec site.
"DMV-provided registration number decals must be displayed on both sides of the cowling of the snowmobile at all times. The cowling is defined as the forward portion of the snowmobile surrounding the engine and clutch assembly. Any display position behind the snowmobile cowling (tunnel or seat area) or on the windshield is illegal and could result in an expensive citation for violation of the registration law."
So both pic 1 and 2 would be considered proper.
