No not however many miles it takes to feel crappy. do them after 500 miles and then after every 1500 depending if you beat them hard or just putted down the trail. I hard then sooner, trail then do them at 2000. I rebuild shocks and there is alot of crap in them from the faCctory. There IS a breakin period for shocks and the oil gets contaminated fast. Also the oil from the factory is crap. Use a good synthetic oil and it will last longer. Take care of your shocks and they will take care of you. There will be less chance of failures and your sled will perform better.
