I was returning from a 1000 mile trip to Bas St. Laurent and was about 50 miles from home in St. Fortunat when the rear suspension arm bracket that holds the spring ends broke. I ended up cutting a trail stake a couple of inches longer than the rails and laid it on top of the rails. I then sat on the sled to make an imprint of the spring ends which were pointed straight down. I then took a jackknife and cut out the imprint about 3/8" deep. I set the spring ends in the holes and rode the sled out about 35 miles with no further damage to the suspension. Check the welds on the bracket, on mine the weld on the left side was defective. If AC had welded both sides this probably wouldn't have been a problem. 2600 miles on my sled.
