Does anyone make a screw down device/deflector/guide to keep your ski's from the possibility of hitting the door cables on the edge of the drop down ramp ? I googled and didnt find any.

Maybe I will use a short piece of angle iron and screw it down on a slight angle just below it if not.

I clipped it in broad daylight loading so I can only imagine my "skills" at night after a long day of riding. LOL. I guess I need it idiot proof so I dont have to be careful.

Any ideas ?

Aluminum angle iron screwed to the ramp would work, just make sure it doesn't get in the way of closing the ramp. It would look like something like the Neo ramps.

Nice.
So the "pro flap" piece flips in to close the door. ?
Yes but i'm referring to the full length peice on the side of the ramp.

Im thinking a 12" peice of 3/4x3/4 aluminum angle iron with 3-4 counter sunk screws maybe....or should it just run all the way up..?....Then I can just aim for the cable..and be alright. :)
I would go full length like in the picture. I think that piece is about 3" tall.

Nice trailer setup.

Hey...Are the guides on the concrete floor attached ? I notice the reason my track spins in my garage when I load out the door and up the trailer ramp....is due to the drag of the carbides on the concrete.

i hit my cable a few times, even had someone drive up it!and no damage to cable. If your concerned about it , just get a piece 1/2" pvc x 10" , cut a key way down the length, slip it over the cable while loading, take it off before you close the ramp.

From experience...which lead to this thread....I knocked one off too.

2 people...remove the one cable that unspun at the ramp door end...should be a pin with a cotter pin thru a bracket mounted on the door....

Rewind it onto the spring hub like the other side is...

Have the other person pull to try the cable tight and put the door pin thru the cable with the pin....it wont quite reach....

With gloves on turn the torsion spring hard enough to create enough cable slack for the other person to pull the cable out and then put the pin thru the door bracket....replace cotter pin.

Worked for me anyway. Just took a minute.

Thanks gf. Going to do something along those lines with a peice of 1/16" thick aluminum angle iron.

Need to get it back from my preseason service to look closer at it to determine the smallest width and height I can use and how long I want it.

Nice to know here Im not the only knucklehead to run onto the cable. :snack:

I asked my dealer if he had any used slides/hyfax he was gonna throw away. He gave me a dozen of them and I used them for this purpose, as an extra high guide on the side of the ramp. And I cut a couple down to 15" pieces to use as track grips on my ramps
