breaking news from Lake of 2 Mountains QC.
First the good news: my buddy Norms' F7 beat the RX-1 by 4 sled lengths 5 out of 6 times.
Now the bad news: he also beat the 900 by 1/2 a sled length every time.

perfect weather - 34 deg. sheer ice , all machines fully studded.

Besides the studs were the machines stock? Or did they have clutching, reeds, pipes etc???

You say he BEAT the 900 ? After having ridden the 1M 900 the other day, I would be amazed that a stock F7 would take it. As much as the F7 pulls, the 900 pulls quite a bit more.
