I am running my sled around 7700 to 7750

You loosen the big nut on the right hand side of the sled first. Then back off or tighten (depending on what you wanna do) the bolts on each side equally.

i've heard about 50/50 of guys who adjust without loosening the big bolt.

just wondering... seems like you should loosen it, but then do you really have to torque it to get it to stay tight again? Anyone had the big nut come off on the trail?

You HAVE to loosen the big bolt if you want to loosen the track. If you dont, you cant move the rear wheels forward.
I have done it many times. Just tighten the nut up nice and tight and you are fine.

i took a center punch and dimpled the threads on the axle, right against the big nut after a djusting to keep it from loosening up and spinning off, you can still loosen up with a wrench if you need to after dimpling the threads, but will not back-off(loosen up) when you dont want it to!
