ok this may sound lame or stupid to some but when you pull the recoil rope pull straight back not on and angle as if your off the sled.pull while on the sled.this will stop the rope from rubbing on dash plastic.this will help,but not solve the problem untill you get a better fix.artctics fix is lame but will work untill you get a better fix.(ex. tube fix, mountain climbing rope)
