I don't think the state will make it till the weekend. I was going to go to Minocqua this weekend it just doesn't look good IMO.

What a difference from last year at this time. We were still digging out from a record 55" of snow for the month of Feb 2019. There were areas of my circle driveway the snowblower couldn't throw it over the banks. As much as I love winter, I was DONE with it last year...lol

Here in Northern Bayfield County they are still in great shape.
I'm thinking about hitting Northern Bayfield County this weekend. Staying in Hayward will ride there Thursday but might trailer to Iron River on Friday and go North from there.

I would be willing to bet trails east and south of Clam Lake will be good yet - a spot here and there but that's where we rode last Saturday and didn't see 20 sleds total (Glidden/Butternut/Park Falls/Oxbo through Big Bear and Winter). I honestly can't see those trails coming apart with that forecast before Sunday. Lots of off trail in that direction also.

But you never know I guess....

Decent Season!

Biggest news for me were the sleds.

Upgraded from a pair of Twinspar Jag Z1s I've had for 5 years, which have been admittedly reliable but lacked the fun factor I had in previous sleds. Absolutely love my ZR8000, it's everything I've ever wanted and more power than I will ever need, and apart from crashing it he first night I had it out (and then repairing it:
),

it's been absolutely amazing. My girl is super happy with her F1100, just need to tweak the springs to ride a bit softer. Heated seat is a huge lady pleaser. She did her first solo ride this year and met me out the the trail when I was riding back from work, stoked she is getting more confident.

Rode to work two times, did 5 last year. Total milage was 700-800 miles. Not the best but I'll take it. Time to start working on the boat. :)

Seen many sleds here yesterday but only a handful today..we were at Hayward Power Sports twice today and they had quite a few rentals heading out on the trails. Was a hi of 44* today, 38 now.

Heading to Phelps on Thursday for my last trip of the season. Hoping we can get to the U.P. for some riding but not expecting big miles. I did get to ride in December this year for the first time in forever so that was pretty cool. Seems like the lakes just got frozen up too and now the meltdown.

That's crazy they're still renting sleds this time of year. Figured more wear & tear. Margin goes down. Kudos to them though!

Just finished the weekend in Iron County. Traffic was low. Probably due to end of season & warmer temps. Fantastic late season riding! Trails held up pretty well. You need to avoid road route trails now. Definitely rideable this week. Have those scratchers.
Saw 2 groomers out this morning. The pic was from just south of Gile(15/15a). Was first sled on 35 out of 45 miles today

Warmers temps forecast, but was cloudy today.

Tuesday, Marinette county reported most of their trails are open and in good shape and grooming yet which surprised me. I'm going to head up Friday early and get the last ride in. Sunday in the 40's and weather next week looks warm...er...

The weather forecast for Minneapolis for this weekend is 59 on Saturday and 62 on Sunday. Starting on Thursday next week we have a predicted run of highs in the 50's and low's well above freezing. That my friends is probably all she wrote. I for one am getting my golf bag organized and changing the fluids in my four wheeler.

2 or 3 days and it will be over. I was supposed to go to Minocqua "Fence Lake" this weekend but the guys called and said they are coming home Friday, they told me things are starting to fall apart.

They reported the trails were awesome Monday and Tuesday up there but the roads were junk and things started to go south today big time, I could not get out of work till late Friday.

I think maybe just maybe Langlade County mite make it till Sunday being they don't get the traffic as do points north of them.

I call customers from all over the state of Wi and that's how I get my information but who knows we may get a shot at one more ride in late March. :dunno:

@XCR1250 could give you your best information about the Ashland area they seem to be the only area that is left in dark blue on the WISCONSIN SNOW REPORT https://www.travelwisconsin.com/snowreport/snowmobile

Good luck to all you guys racing at the weenie roast this weekend and if the rest of you that are going north just go have fun good or bad make the best of it. :bc:
