Hi, i rebuilt a 2000 xcr 800 and im having issues with one cylinder not sucking air.. Its the pto cylinder the other 2 function as normal.. All 3 cylinders are running same compression.. Im wondering if the pto oil seal is leaking air.. Spraying gas or carb cleaner on it does not effect it.. This is my first motor rebuild and im at a loss
Just to follow up incase someone runs into the same issue as me. After talking to Phil one idea he gave me was the exhaust was plugged.. Sure enough that was the issue all is well good luck to anyone with near same issue
I Just had the same thing with a 99 xcr 700 motor I put into an edge using stock gen2 800 pipes. The center pipe was plugged solid. A mouse built his mansion in it. It took about half an hour of washing it out with a hose to clean it out.
