After looking at the welds on the cross-shaft that hold the spring adjusters, I have decided to do a little repair work there. Anyone else?

already have had them rewelded...the guy who did it said it looked like one was starting to crack already...my sled has .8 miles

my buddys broke with 6 miles on it, so welded his in a hurry, dealer dropped rear skid on mine and welded it, then re-painted it black.
wonder if cat is hiring welders??

you should have but in the poll: No, waiting for the dam thing to break so i can place a law suit against ac. :)

I just jumped the shit of mine about 20 times. it would have broke by now if it wasnt strong enough. :p :D

IMO, why not have them tacked. Im sure these were robotically welded so every weld will be consistant with the next. If some broke, you are rolling the dice.
Want to screw up your ride for something that can be fixed with an hour of time and a couple of beers to have a bud weld it up.
Most areas they are still sitting in the garage anyway.
