Sigh...that's me. Got a kit 10 years ago, my entire Harley is now powedercoated.
Did the tow bumper on my VR1, but that's it so far...

Looking at these bare aluminum grills were starting to bug me. haha

you have to drill the bottom 3 rivots out. i did without removing the plastic fender. to much work to do that. I ll just rivot through the fender after

theres 1 rivot up top holding

That’ll be a nice touch - I’ve some painted but never seen one where someone took the time to get them out and powder coat them.

special length rivots so they dont stick out in foot well

tight fit to get rivot gun in there. cordless Milwaukee works awesome

Nice part is all of us that got our sleds late have a whole summer to doctor them up.

Should be easier to keep clean as well, just wipe them down. Dust sticks to bare aluminum.

Havent looked at gauge since install

did the 33gig update. best to use a fast solid state drive then a usb stick. Costco special. good for transferring gopro etc

When the USB flash drive is NOT plugged in, and you go to the
Control Panel > All Settings > General > Update Maps / Trails you should see information like this:

This shows what Map and Trails versions are loaded in the 7SDD currently.

Yes. That is why in my 7SDD update slideshow, I explain not to bother doing this base map update, spending 90 minutes or more, and ending up with the same information you had before. Do the POI update, and then apply a trail map update.
