Is Allegany County printing a county wide trail map for this season, that shows all the trails?

Not sure for this year( but hope so) but I am looking at thre one that did last season and its pretty well marked with trails.It was $5 and I got it from a fella who is the Allegany District C0-Ordinator.He posts on NYSSA.

yes there are trail maps still available. they are ok but the last i heard at our club meeting we are goin to have the same company that does tughill, old forge maps do ours. might not be any time soon. so if you would like a trail map, pm me or email me at [email protected]. send me a self addressed stamped envolope and i will get one out to you.

The Tug Hill and Old Forge maps are always wrong. Trails not located where the map shows them, trails that are not even there are on there, trails that have been closed for years are still on there, etc. Make sure that whoever does the maps, asks for the clubs input. They use Parks' GIS mapping data and some are wrong or are just proposed trails that are not even there and somehow they find their way onto those maps each year.

oh. we never had a problem with thug hill maps. good thing i guess.
