Does anyone know if it is OK to use an oil additive like Lucas Oil Stabilizer in the Yamaha 4 strokes. I use it in my bike and truck and just want to make sure there is no reason I couldn't use it in my sled thanks.

Most, if not all, oil additives are total crap. I wouldn't waste the money, and I certainly wouldn't put it in a high performance engine. Follow mfgr's recommendations on oil to use, and change interval. Yamaha's been making engines a long time, and they're pretty good at it. Because they're on the hook for warrany claims, they have a significant interest in making sure you use the best oil possible for your sled.

IMHO.

yeah, its takes 3.5 quarts. so i put in 3 quarts oil, .5 quart of lucas. I like having it in all my engines too, keeps the oil from breaking down or water forming if it sits for a long time.
