I recently purchased/ordered a few goodies on monday from the ODS and was wondering mainly about the clutch kit. I am thinking of purchasing a d and d y-pipe, bmp pipe mod, i have bought a 2.2* timing key, and a mbrp can. Will the clutch kit still be able to preform to it's full capibilities(Spl?) or will somthing need to be done to it? (I own a 2004 f7 efi) Thanks alot Dave J.

I'm not sure about the y-pipe and the bmp mod together . The Y wants to raise rpms slightly and the mod seems to lower them . The 2 d key is a good simple bang for the buck with no changes .

With all the "power loss" feedback I have heard about from people who have installed cans you might need Dans kit for the F6 instead . :augen41:

I have added 15hp to my 04 from its stock config. I run the ODS kit in my sled as well and found the parts Dan sent are still the best setup for trail. I go a bit stiffer on the weight for drag racing but in reality I think its just as fast either way.... His kits work awsome......

I think it has been proven that the ODS kits are pretty versatile.. If you have a question just shoot Dan a PM or post on his board, he always helps people out even with stuff he didn't sell you.. But I think he will tell you to cut the top off the can and use it for a trash can.. The rest of the stuff should be ok, maybe a tweak or too.. :div20:

i found that either 72 gram daltons or arctic cat 73.5 weights work the best on 04 efis.
buy the orange white prim, stock helix, green in secound hole with 020 belt.
dont use the fu*&^%&031 as its hard to clutch to.

That's the same set-up I have in my F6, but I do have the 031 belt, it's a good belt.

should run close, may need to run it and then call me.. if its off a little, but I bet you will be right on. As for the cans.. I still say they do not "lose" power.. they don't gain either.. if you like the sound and can run it.. go for it..

How hard is it to install Dans's ODS kit. I would like to add a clutch kit to mine, but i dont want to pay 586 bucks like my neighbor did for his. The only thing is is that my sled is different. Its not a firecat. If you havent figured out what it is feel free to shuffle over to the cabnet and take another perkaset.

ODS Dan will the firecat 700 clutch kit work on the crossfire 700? Are you in the process of developing one?

Dan...I just recieved you kit in the mail today, along with all of the other parts i ordered. Everything looks great. Do you just use the stock secondary spring with your clutch kit? If so what spring is it because i would like to replace it. Thanks alot Dave.
