Rumor is no more registration numbers once you renew or buy new.

The new regulations will be published soon, and list the pricing as well as new sticker laws. From what we have all seen, DNR is standardizing on the slightly larger boat sticker (which can be trimmed down) But letters will not be needed if registered after July 1 of this year. Or with your next renewal.

From what folks have shared elsewhere, no, it cannot be put on the tunnel like other states, but still needs to be put on the hood. Let's just hope the adhesive is better. A heat gun is always recommended when putting it on.

I just got my registration sticker for my latest renewal. And yes, they are the same as the boat stickers. I trim mine down on the boat as well. This is a non issue. I will debate on removing my numbers, as they are custom. But if they start to peel, I will have no issues pulling them off and leaving them off.

Our ND buddies have the tunnel sticker, and I understand why they have not allowed that in MN. Those running boards are covered with snow so often you would probably not see the sticker if placed there.

Sure, I threw my hand in for size reference. They are printed exactly the same as the boat tags. And you trim it at the line. So it's really no big deal, and I think folks should be happy they don't have to do reg numbers as well. But you will never please everyone.

Well, I got out the goo gone and heat gun. Pulled my registration numbers off, my wyoming and michigan tags as well. Trimmed up the new reg sticker and placed it. It's not that bad.

I'm sure the sleds with more busy work graphics will be limited on space, but again, we are moving in the right direction. This will be easy for the bush pigs to see, that's for sure.

As I understand it, MNUSA fought for those stickers. I'll bet with enough incentive, they'd go back and get a single sticker for the windshield. Back in the day, we had stickers in the shape of the state, I always liked those. Maybe 1 sticker in the shape of the state would be good?

So, who does MNUSA listen to? Their members. Become a member and start finding ways of communicating with them (there are several avenues, contacting your local representative, joining a club, etc.).
