my friend has 9 inch total rise on his 04 f6 (4.5 stock riser plus 4.5 bars) and they fit fine. i hear of people puting 8 inch risers with little cable room left. My question is...can i get 9 inch total rise on my 03 f5? thanks

i have about 9 inches of rise with my stock riser and fly bars. The fly bars are a few inches wider then the stockers, so the brake and throttle get pushed out to the side a bit more and i was able to use the stock throttle cable after re-routing it, and i made myself a 5 inches brake line extention basicly just to clean up the look of the bars. I could have prolly got away without the extention

I believe the brake line is a tad too short to go up 4.5 additional inches beyond stock without some sort of extension, otherwise it pulls on the master on full left turn.

I know bluebear had to do a brake line ext on his sled with 9 in of rise and I thought maybe a throttle cable too but ? Sure if you rig it half ass it might work but most people try to do this right the first time .

I did the research for you and your throttle cable and your brake hose assy. are different part numbers than your buddies F6 for what its worth...

04 F7, 9" of rise and I HAD to put a new brake line and a throttle cable extension on it. No way you can do 9.5". Get an M7 brake line and have a local bike shop make you a custom thottle cable.
