Hey guys.. I am having some trouble with my 2000 ZR700, Its has no spark. It ran fine when I stored it, but I cant get her to run now. So far Ive checked the stator, coil and pretty sure its not the CDI. When I tested the crank sensor it wasnt showing any resistace.. so Im pretty sure its not working. Is this a common problem with these sleds? Why would it go bad just from sitting? Is there anything else that I could be missing here before I go buy a new crank sensor? THANKS!!

I checked the resistance with my multimeter turned to ohms and it showed zero resistance... I can get more of a reading holding the + and - in my hands than that sensor puts out. Is that enough to say its definatly toast?? Thanks

0 ohms was what showed?? most meters at least show the resistance the test leads themselves have(usually .2-.7 ohms), if your reading was not as shown here>0.0,,,,,then that meant infinity(overload and nothing registering on scale/meter face) and yes it's toast IF your meter was of the autoranging(self changing of resistance scales)design that doesn't require manual scale adjustments,,, what meter(brand and model) do you have,,,the answer to this will tell the story as it should reveal wether it has autorange or not,,,,,,,,,,

Its a Mastercraft digital mulitmeter.. nothing too fancy but it seem to do the job. If I turn it to 200k it shows "1" then I hold the leads in my fingers and it reads an average of 150... if I test any solid wire it will show 0.0 and when I test my crank sensor it will never change from the "1" Im no electrician.. but I think this is right, but correct me if Im wrong. Thanks.
