When trying to post an Avitar, I keep getting the following error

"You are not allowed to upload that type of file as an avatar "

I am trying to upload a .jpg file so I am cunfused. Any help would be appreciated.

The jpg is likely too big...the error msg is a bit misleading. Try editing the picture down to 25K or so...Marc

avatars have to be less than 10k in size

Just a question Are you on a MAC? If so you need to go into Photoshop and save it as a GIF File or Jpeg for the web. A Photoshop Jpeg will not work no matter what size it is. Mine wouldn't work even as a 1K file.
