on that side is there a metal square bracket on it, held on by 4 bolts, if so then you could but if one needs it done then both should too

 

Most cat engines have a flange on the clutch side....haven't saw a magneto side for ages ...There is a flange on mag side also?????Mag side is full of oil and runs on one cylinder.

 

Just haven't tore it apart yet...few xmas things to be done.

i meant on one of the sides and no there isnt one on that side... i know on my 600 you have to split the cases because that side seal has a groove that the seal sits in but according to snopro you don't have to on that but it is a 370
