I hope one of you may be able to help me out with this. I have a 2001 XC600SP that I had to replace the track on. It came with a .91 inch track, I have just replaced the track with one that has 1.25 inch lugs and 1.4 inch studs. My question is this: Are my tunnel protectors/heat exchangers tall enough to keep my studs from eating away at my tunnel? I believe that my protectors will hit on the windows of the track. I know that I will have to run my track right at spec inorder to keep it from my front heat exchanger. Any help would appreciated. Rob you've got a great web site and the Cat info is great. Thanks

You'll need to keep a much closer eye on track tension for obvious reasons. I'd pull the studs and not even worry about it. Just my opinion though.
