hey guys,
last night while riding home, 18 degrees out, my coolant bottle busted and coolant shot out all over the place. It wasn't a matter of overheating, since the snow I placed on the heads didn't melt. I ordered a new bottle but I am not sure if there are any special methods of installation. By that, I mean that with the firecats, they have to burp the lines. Is that necessary for a 99 zrt 600? Are there any installation procedures that I should no about? Or can I just install the new bottle, refill, and go. Thanks in advance.

yes , you want to burp your sled after you install the new bottle ,all you have to do is get the front end of you sled up off the ground about 2ft.or so...easiest way to do this is by useing a floor jack or a car lift. Then idle the sled with it elevated for about 5 or 10 mins this should allow the air in the rear of the heat exchanger to escape... refill the bottel if need, then ride it like you stole it!!!!!!!!!!
