This is an old movie trailor that we had posted on the net a while ago. This is primarily the motorcycle section but we are adding the freestyle snowmachining parts soon. Forgive the cheesey effects this was done by a buddy of mine on his editing program. We use Final Cut Pro 3 for the movie (which is the same program that was used for Star Wars Episode II) and it was shot on a Cannon XL1 camera.

p.s. That's me on the RC51 with the black helmet

Thanks. The new trailor will be out this week. The new trailor is 100x better than this one. The movie will be about 80% freestyle snowmachining and 20% freestyle street bike. In the new trailor there is snowmaching footage. We have big names in the movie doing snowmachine freestyle. Like Sam Carver and Don Sharp.

How to improve the delivery of your movie trailer.

1. We're on the internet, so we need to be able to download it faster. That means you need to compress the thing better. Use Sorenson Video Codec to compress the heck out of it. That will allow for a smaller file size.

2. Since this is not on a video cassette or DVD, we don't need to see 12 seconds of titles telling us "Stunt ." films knows how to make a spinning logo. It took me 2 or 3 minutes just to download the logo portion of your movie (about 20% of your movie is the title). . . that's way to much time. And I'm on a T1 line.

3. Put a quick subtitle over some action with the title and your production company name. That title will GO OVER ACTION FOOTAGE. This is the internet. People want to see something immediately when they download.

4. It's nice to have full motion at 30 frames a second, but since this is action footage with high speed action, we get the idea. Consider reducing the frame rate drastically even 8 FPS footage would provide enough for us to get the idea.

End of my (unsolicited) suggestions. Nice clips of motorcycles. I could only download and see half of the movie, because I grew tired of waiting for the rest of it.

To see a short clip example check out :

8 Frame Per Second, large image, short movie for fast downloading. (Pizza Hut in Newberry Michigan 3 weeks ago.)

Also a couple more short ones, with fairly small file sizes. (Yes there is no editing. It's just a clip from our Digital 8 Sony Camera. )

(These have a higher frame rate, they are smaller screen size to keep the file size down.)
