A few ugrades I just done on my xc.

I found a cowl and seat/tank (torn and cheap) off a 99xc for my 00xc. Worked out perfect I added 2in of foam on the top and seat cover was torn on the top. I had an canvas shop replace that part along with added material. The 99 seat is already 1in taller and gave more leg room than the 00 seat. I don't really care for the side pads anymore.

After I installed the seat I noticed the handle bar needed more rise. Already had a 2in rise so I raised it to 4in. I made an extention from a from a old xcr steering past and bar. I also added steering post support.

Reverse! Local dealer had a new kit on the shelf for years and I got it for about $275 with the bottom gear.

I wanted wider running boards. I was eyeing up the ROX kit for Edges but for $199 was too much$$$. I happened to notice a polaris edge wide running board kit on the discount table for $75 at anouther polaris dealership. Been on the shelf for years and they wanted to get rid of it. I got home and openned the package and it's the Rox kit in polaris packaging. With a little work it fits no problem. I didn't use the foam though.

Side view with it mostly together.

Thanks guys. Raysxc700 the track I have on there now is less than a year old and has 2 miles on it. I always ran 3/4in tracks but bought this one new from tracksusa and Bruce suggested 1 3/8in lug.

WFO I'm not sure if I lost any top end. Never had a chance to top it out since I put the edge skid in. Still has no problem passing 100 on the speedo.

Got my xc out on the snow today. Put on 1mile spinning up and down the street. Drivers position felt alot nicer than before. Polaris obviously make this sled for a 6ft+ person. I ready for a good ride!

Thanks Sledshed!

Must edit: Polaris did NOT make this sled for a 6ft+ tall person.

After sitting on new sleds I knew I had to do something. Dropping 8 to 9 big ones on a new sled isn't an option right now. This was my first polaris (had it since 2000) and it's not even close to retirement. For under $500 I changed my old slup into something that should be more enjoyable to ride. I just want to throw out ideas for anyone interested.

Racerdave I was looking for a boss seat like that for a year (not very hard though). I guess I wasn't willing to spend the money for a new one even though we are a boss dealer. Looks good though! All said and done I'll have about $100 in my new seat.
I just went out out to the lake and put 11 miles on. The sitting position is so much more comfortable than the stock low slug short position. The extra grip and a bit more foot room is very nice too.

If you look in the 2nd pic, the bars have also been raised and moved foreward with a ROX 3.5 inch riser. Made a world of difference and I prefered this sled over my Edge 700. Handles Way better.

looks good man its diferent now you need to go to 136
So its 10yrs later and now my old xcsp is 136 lol. The xc has been sitting since getting the Indy a few yrs ago, so it was time to brush the dust off getter going again.

Cut the back off a 99xc for the exten. Found a set of 136 edge rails on craigslist cheap. Longer tunnel cooler. I modded a set of cat coolers. Moved the rear crossover to the inside of the tunnel.

Gotta change up the colors alittle. Parts for gen2s are getting cheap.

Fastsleddr says 660s hardly run if you don't bore the carbs. I did that like 3 yrs ago but haven't got a chance to drive it till now. Look I know how to make chips....

Had it out a few times. Runs like a top. She really has great mid and top pull when it hooks up. :bc2:
