Unfortunately as of last year the stretch from St faustin to Labelle was closed
by court order because of complaining home owners. I believe the appeal is in court now, but have yet to hear any news. Check the FCMQ website- there might be some updates on the situation in the next month or so.

I thought i heard it was open once again however this may be untrue, if in fact it is staying at the comfort in in st jovite is nice and alot less than the village at tremblant. My friend let a chalet for a week in the region, found that to be good value as you cook your own meals. It was on the north side of the resort.

I've stayed at the Comfort Inn also....plush...but a bit expensive, and not so friendly to access the trail if conditions are marginal. The Mountain View may not be as nice but the owners, and chef are A-1 imo, plus you can easily acess secondary local trails to reach Mount Laurier.

This is truly unfortunate that this has happened. I am disappointed that a court would rule this way in a region where snowmobiling makes such a huge economic impact. Justice has been blind in that a compromise could not have been agreed upon.
