Guys...I wanna point out a problem with mikuni butterfly carbs that have set for many years.
I Banged my head for days over this one an found out the brass metering tube that runs down thru the middle of this carb can rot off from setting in bad fuel! It becomes to short to pick up fuel and will not start or idle. Check this part out if you own one of these carbs...Part #17 of below pic...Paul

I have a '79 Centurion that sat so long the bowl became eroded through, and the brass tube still out lasted the bowl. I believe the brass will outlast the aluminum.

I'm just sayn I found this on 2 sleds, both scorpions, both were farm sleds that set one year then run the next then set for more years. Hard to say what caused it,... just one more thing to look for....I love vintage sleds...LOL.
