Just finished the install of a d&d clutch kit on my f1 and took it for a little ride in the hay field. It seems to rev to 7400 and then work its way down to about 7350. The sled has a D&D y-pipe and bullseye on it and about 35 miles. Just woundering if this is the correct rmp range, seems to me that it has a small dead spot on the bottom end.

Yes, 7400 is too high on the start. Maybe the belt is slipping. Try loosening your belt deflection. Should load 69-7100 at start - up to 72-7350 on top. If you have a poor stud setup, could just be trackspin, too. If you are on grass or dirt, with no snow, it is probably belt slip. 715 205 2965, Glenn.

Yes, that sounds like your belt is too loose. Add shims.
