The reason that I asked is that the original one was glued in with something, I had to chip it out. The new one doesn't seem strong enough to keep in place permanantly.

replaced mine last year, as my dad hit the old one with a hammer (different story). The magnetism held it in for almost 4k miles!

I guess you could use a spot of JB Weld on the back, but don't get it on the face, as you need to keep this clean for the pickup.
