I have a 1994 Polaris Indy 500 EFI SKS. I did some clutch modifications and that seemed to help the take off a lot. I raced my brothers zrt 600 and I can almost beat him at take off. I start gaining on him from about 5mph - 25mph. Once the speeds get up he pulls away. My max speed is about 80mph. His will do 90. There isn't many mods available for my sled and the ones that are, are very expensive. I was considering a gear change. Anyone ever done it before? I was thinking if I put a higher ratio in that would help the take off. But I don't want to kill my top speed and only be able to do 50 or 60mph tops. I also do some hill climbing with this sled. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

If you put taller gearing on top(more teeth) you will gain top end but loose on the bottom end torque.. What gearing do you have now.

I have no clue what I have right now. Everything is factory except for the helix and springs.
