Set rear spring to middle stiffness to try on these new ones. not sure if they changed anything in the last 2 yrs

my 2017 sled i always used highest setting and it worked good.

started bumper and skid plate. you have to do them at same time.

get one of these longer bolts at dealer to make it much easier to install this 1 bolt through bumper and skid. They have lots laying around from other jobs

Drill both support holes a bit bigger. different sleds can be tight and hard to install. this will make it easy to install no matter what

Remove stock bumper. easy

pull sled on side onto a step or something

#36 ·
get the new support inside installed. leave bolts loose till you get all bolts in place

drill the skid plate hole to 5/16 ( the second hole down from front of the plate)

thats the hole for the longer bolt

bigger hole to get to the bumper support inside compartment

dont forget to drill the stock belly pan hole.

so long bolt goes through the bumper, skidplate, belly pan. Thats why its much easier with the longer bolt

hold the skid up and slip the bumper in place at same time. get the front bolt through bumper, skid, belly pan, support inside

tighten the bumper bolts, support bolts, 2 skid bolts

the 2 tight skid bolts will hold the skidplate up nice

the 5 self tappers are the last thing to do

push plate up and should be straight at the end

hold and screw the first 2 screws tight. I always finish the screws by hand so you dont strip the holes.

the last 3 screws install them at a little slight angle forward. tip of screw angled towards the front of sled. Theres a bolt boss inside you will hit if you just do them straight up.

this is what i use for usb stick and just leave it in with all my saved tracks files. short and stubby like me :roflmao:

you also need to leave a stick in if you do the clutching test recording data. asks you if you want to save after you stop

Is there a reason why you put all the shims on one side, instead of both sides of the weight? BTW, lots of good info in your thread because of that, i bought the AC tether with catzass 850 harness and clutch shims.
You said shovel kit is from catzass, but i cant find it!!??
Lastly, what kind of Doo's scratcher would you recommend, tunnel ones or rails??

Thanks:bc::buttrock:

Do you have to pull the clutch to do this or can it be done on the sled (carefully)?
You could but much easier on bench

listing parts on the first post as i go

the shovel mount and kit was from catzass.net

this is with clutch all together. you can see how easy it would be to adjust the weights on the side of the trail
