Ok so I am usually proficient at finding what I need for my sled on my own. But I need some help with this. I do not know if they exist or where to get them if they did. I am looking for taller spindles for a 700xcsp gen11. I raised the rear of the sled and I figured in order to keep the articulation and suspension geometry correct I would as well raise the front. Also adding a bit of clearance. If anyone has any ideas or cares to tell me I am smoking something please feel free. Thanks for looking and hopefully helping.

Don't know about taller spindles but have heard about fitting longer shocks to get a little more travel.
What did you do to the rear, moving the rear mount to below the running boards?

Thanks for the reply IVAR, Yes it was because of relocation brackets to drop the skid below the tunnel. The taller shocks do not really solve my height issue as I put on stiffer springs and as such the front is maxed out for lift. Well if there are not any taller spindles than I will just have to settle. Thanks again :beerchug:

Ok so I am too stubborn to settle, upon further review of the spindles I have come up with an idea. Make my own taller spindles. I realize it changes my centre of gravity but I would rather have the suspension collapse properly in exchange for a higher centre of gravity.

I have no problems with constructive criticism but please do not be a jerk.
Thanks again for your thoughts and opinions.

Here is the idea I have so far.

shocks with a longer center to center will make it higher. stiffer springs in the stock shock wont do anything. a taller spindle will make it very easy to bend trailing arms. the longer the spindle the more leverage they have.

imho,
the 5/8 rod wont be strong enough,i twisted [bent ]a spindle bad, by hitting a ,rock, stump, not sure,
without even noticing i did it,till looking at it from a distance and thought it looked off kilter.
thats on a stock spindle.
what your suggesting,i know ,it wouldnt have survived with out breaking or twisting so bad you could nt ride it.

Thanks for the replies guys.
n2oiroc- I’m a bit tubby "aka 250- 6'3 lol so that is why the stiffer front springs but I do not think the front can go higher with longer shocks. This is why i think it cannot. Obviously it is just my reasoning, I am by no means arguing. There are the sway bar slides in the trailing arms, these seem when I removed the shocks and lifted the front these stopped in there races at the highest point and now with the springs they are also at there highest point. Am I looking at it wrong?

My main concern was as well bending and breaking. I figured with the grade 8 bolts the weak points through the length of the spindle should be eliminated. But the main weak point in the design would be where the welds are on the proposed collar if any extreme twisting was to occur.

Thanks again guys for your thoughts.

It would appear that they are stopping any upward movement past a certain point.
Maybe they are only what appears to be stopping the front from dropping? Like i said it is what seems like it but there maybe other things preventing it from happening?
