Just wanted to report that we did about 60 miles around the Norton area this afternoon. I just want to warn all of you that there are alot of trees an limbs down from the wind last night and that the trails still need a lot of work. There are a lot of holes out there to catch your skis in. The forest roads are superb as well as the powerlines and I would highly recommend riding on those trails. Over all I feel we need more snow, the rain we got last night didn't help. Enjoy riding!

Wouldn't it be nice if a passing snowmobiler cleared the trails of the branches? It would make life easier on the groomer operator and club members.[/b]

Hell, worse than not moving them, they call me to tell me the trees are down and want to know when "we" will have the trail open.

Yeah, for pretty much the first month (and CERTAINLY after storms) we go out with the chainsaws mounted on our sleds to clear trail. Thank goodness for reflective clothing to semi-warn sledders that someone is on the trail trying to make it more accessible!
