Anyone notice their jackshaft rubbing the oil tank? I have an 02 sno pro and noticed that the jackshaft is really polished up almost right under the filler cap of the oil tank. Maybe the firecats are a little different, but I see the part # for the oil tanks is the same. Only difference is the low oil sensor. I don't know if this is a problem, but I do have some shavings from the oil tank under the jackshaft. A little nervous. Anyone have any ideas???

I might have jumped the gun on this one. I just talked to a guy and he says that the tab where the oil and coolant bottles are bolted on just needs to be switched so the oil tank tab is BEHIND the coolant tab. Probably already done on the F-cats. You might want to check anyways.

cmscat50,

On my F7, the oil tank tab is behind the coolant bottle tab, and it appears that AC incorporated a aluminum "shield" around the jackshaft in that area so that there would be NO WAY the jackshaft could rub on the oil tank. Is that what others are seeing also?
