Ride a ZR600 EFI ('98). Almost 90 % of the gas I have used is
a 10 % ethanol blend. Do not have the "switch" either.
Has always run great and I have never had a freeze up.
Always have used "torco" synthetic or their blend.
When using a gas line anti freeze always USE the one for
I've been running Iso-Heet (or whatever it's called...red bottle of Heet w/iso) with 87 mtbe gas. I run the switch in regular with no problems so far. Usually I add a little under a half a bottle per tank
don't run ethenol (yellow bottle of Heet) though..... =bad in efi
There is nothing wrong with using a dry gas that has isopropyl alcohol in it (such as Iso-Heet in the red bottle) in any EFI system. One without the isopropyl alcohol will react with the o-rings used in the EFI system and cause them to fail.
I've always used isopryl in my efi's. There is no problem. The problem comes if you don't use it and end up with water in your tank. These "dealers" give a lot of opinions that have no basis in fact. <_<
