I have a brand new 2006 Sabercat 700LX and had the dealer stud the track. They did not mention if I needed any extra tunnel protection but figured that they would let me know before hand, seems like they know what they're doing (I hope).
My question is, do I need to add any tunnel protection for a studded track on this sled or is it only when you go to huge ice picks??
shouldnt need it, always an option though. The F chassis doesent have any heat exchangers in a spot where track slap can occur so its not a big deal. :cn:

1.375 in a 1" should require tunnel protectors...your GF must never compress (bottom out the suspension). I would be nervous :augen41:
