Hello folks,

Well, as most of you know, the m5 engine, and the sabercat 500 engine, are made without power valves. I guess they are supposed to be entry level machines and dont need the extra power or something. Anyways, I am hoping for install power valves on my m5 engine.

I am assuming what I need is:
1. Head from an f5 engine
2. Servo motor
3. different ecu???

Just looking for some advice on how to go about this. Thanks for the info

Yup, the valves are in the cylinders not the head. You would have to get a ECU that would work with a combo of a single throttle body EFI with exhaust valves, if that's even posiable.

The '05 M5 is carbureted not EFI (that is the '06). If you use a F5 ECU, then you will need to add a EGT sensor in the pipe also.

Way cheaper to trade it in on a M6, if you want to upgrade your 500 you need:
Cylinders, including valves, all hardware and cables
Head
Carbs
Complete exhaust system with temp sensor
complete wiring harness, with regulators and condensors
throttle cable
servo motor
and some misc small parts
