I noticed that the front shocks on my 600HO are mounted upside down compared to the way they are supposed to be mounted- The threaded part of the shock body is mounted to the a-arm and the rod end is mounted to the bulk head. Is there any difference in the mounting this way? I remember the Edges were shock body to the trailing arm, but the Pro x was rod end to trailing arm. Does one way lower the center of gravity, and the other centralize the mass? Or does it make any difference at all?

My 05 Fusion with W/E shocks is mounted with the threaded part of the shock body is mounted to the bulk head and the rod end is mounted to the a-arm.

Is it because of the reservoir tank for the shocks on the Fusion and the Pro-X they would have to move tank to a-arm on the Fusion and trailing arm for the Pro-X to make it work, or use a long hose.

Ahhhh- The unsprung weight makes sense, as does the reservoir (WE shocks) theory. I'll flip them and see if I notice any difference with the suspension. Thanks.
