 I can't wait to ride my new Attak. I may have to wait until next season at the rate this winter is going. :banghead: I just picked it yesterday. I have .7 miles on it at the moment. That is all the snow we have here. Looking like there is no break in this pattern. So just tell me people.... Are they all that and a bag of chips? I put the fat boy spring in and dooly woody's runners. add 151 studs and I hope I do some hooking up. Any stories to tell? Just tease me at this point.

Hey I'm with you on this one. I'm from MA. Got my snowmobile last march cuz i got a good deal and it still has 0 miles on it. My buddies found a lake to ride in Maine that was frozen and had abotu 2 inches of snow on it. Just enough to try em out and keep them cool.

I'm curious. You said you had the Big Boy spring? Did you install it yourself? I want to do the Big boy spring, and handlebar update but I don't know where to get teh work done. The problem is finding a place that wont ruin the sled. Its a shame cuz i have a yamaha dealer 15 min from my house but I wouldnt trust them with anything.

One of my friends took his Yamaha to Woody's Performance center but thats still a good 2 hours away. I was wondering if you knew of a place.

I bought my sled at Freedom cycle in Concord NH. I had them put the spring on for me. You have to dismantle the suspension in order to put the spring in so I would reccomend that you have a dealer do it for you. Cost of spring and install was $219.00. I want to do the handle bar upgrade, but I will wait for snow/cold to make the decision. No more money into my flower pot until it snows.

I had a feelings you were going to say freedom. I dealt with them but they wanted to much money for the Apex I bought at the time. I doubt the would remember who i was but they werent to happy with me.

I think at the time they wanted $8750 for the same sled i have with the 0/0/0 and they wanted $8450 but with their percentage rate so i told them to screw basically. Plus they wanted thier fees for all that.

Jim at Troy City Garage contacted me and was willing to do $8000 out the door with the 0/0/0 so i went with him naturally.

Picked up my new leftover '06 Attak on Thursday night, took it to Quebec on Friday night and put 320 miles on it by Sunday morning, a lot of trail riding and a little dragging on the lake Sunday morning. This is the first sled I have ever owned and I am real happy with it, my only complaint is with the handlebars not heating up but my dealer is just waiting on a new set to replace them for me. I ordered 162 studs and am picking them up tomorrow, I may change the carbides because my skis were sliding in the twisties a little bit. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and had a great time riding this past weekend, lots of power all the way through and I hit 103MPH on the lake Sunday morning.

LET IT SNOW!

Hope you get to ride it soon NH-Attak

NH ATTAK - ordered my 07Attak in spring -it came in in October. Put on a big boy spring ,162 studs and with the advice of Scott Bergstrom of Bergstrom Carbides shimed the skies and put on ski savers and 8 inch triple carbides. The only ride was Sunday (62 miles) in Loon Lake NY. I don't want to make you feel any worse but the only thing I can say is "WOW" I don't think it can get any better. As someone else said in a Yamaha chat room, when you ride it,you will use muscles in your face that you have never used before smiling.I have owned several machines over the years with the last being a Cat T660 and they have all lacked so much. This is the closest thing to PERFECT (speed, steering, acceleration, design, comfort, quality ,engine, suspension). Snow has since melted so its back in the trailer. Can't wait to hit those beautiful trails in Pittsburg,NH and Vermont. Good luck and hope to see you out there soon. You can't miss me (Blue Attak with Big Smile)

Got to ride my 06 attak last week in the u.p. The thing rips on the trails and hardpack. All stock except slydog skis she ran 128 on the speedo on a hardpack road. I think that equates to 118 or something gps. I thought that was haulin' for a 136. You guys will love your machines.

Congrats on the sled. You won't be dissapointed. When I picked my '06 Attak up last year I'd never riden or even seen one run. I walked into the showroom and said "I want that one". When I got it home, and took it onto the lake I live on, I goosed it and the sled about came out from underneath me. This thing is the best Viagra substitute I could think of. I'm no stranger to fast/ powerful sleds but to have this much without having to do anything really blew me away. I couldn't be happier. Heck, I get at least a half an hour more riding in than everyone I go with. While they're changing plugs, adding oil, throwing shoulders out with that rope thingy, etc., I'm out ripping it up waiting on them.
