Any word on how the trails are doing for this coming weekend? I'm staying at Americinn Hurley and want to know what options I have as far as which direction I can go. i'd really like to take the family to Lake in the Clouds. I ve never been there. Any word on how long that would take at 30-40mph pace?

I can tell you that we stayed on the southern end of Gogebic Lake and a trip to the Lake in the Clouds took a better portion of the day.
At a 30-40 mph clip..... I would say it would be a pretty long day from Gogebic.... let alone any further down the trail.

We had about 6 inches Mon night into late Tues Hurley area. Forecast calls for more snow B-4 the week ends. High for today + 9 and not above 20 through the week end. I have 338 miles YTD so far in WI but have not been in U.P. yet. Maybe ride to Wakefield today. Americ Inn is in IronWood just off the 2 trail.

Trails are in decent shape. You will head West through Wakefield and North once you get to Lake Gogebic. You will have a very LONG day going at that pace. It usually takes me and my buddies a good portion of the day leaving from Hurley and going 60-90 mph.

Hurley to Hoop N Holler on Lake Gogebic is about 40 miles, take the lake straight east from the Hoop to Bergland and get gas at the Mobil in town. Take trial 1 N to Silver City which is 30 miles and another 7 to Lake of the Clouds. The Hoop has gas, but pretty expensive. Trail 11 N is closed for the season. Make sure to top off gas in Bergland, no gas in Silver City.

Good info. I read that 11 was closed somewhere, but I'm unfamiliar with that area and didn't think about having to reroute.

I'm actually staying at the Days Inn Hurley. I misspoke When I said Americinn. So with that being said, Can ride in WI and avoid paying for MI tags? It sounds like you guys got some decent snow? I normally ride closer to Eagle River so not sure how the attractions (family) are in that area.

On Krupps Resort FB this morning;

Good morning Kruppers!
Looks like we are in for some more snow starting this afternoon!
Boy this never gets old!
Well maybe after April......
I'm sharing some pics from last night before cleaning out the snows from the last week or so at the Shack here in TL!
I must say it was quite a bit of work at Midnight last night!
Have a great day and stay tuned!
:thumbsup:
