Just got done pulling the pan last night. Dropped 17 mm wrench in. It swallowed it right up. Very simple to take off, just a few screws. Much easier than trying to fish it out .

I would agree that taking the front portion of the bellypan would be easiest also....unless you have installed a skid plate. Then, since the skid plate is riveted on, I would remove the airbox to get the dropped tool. You will have to remove the hood to be able to remove airbox, but removing the hood is a 5 minute(or less) job on the Firecats.....

When you have the pan off check you coolant lines because mine rubbed on the bottom of the bulk head and it will eventually wear thru and cause a leak.
