Just curious as to how much everyone is paying to insure their RX-1s. Ive considered getting either an RX-1 or a Vector but Ive heard the insurance is expensive (because both are almost 1,000cc sleds) and that is making me think that maybe Id be better off to find a good used Viper or Venom.

Still shopping for a price on my 06 Apex-GT but the best I can find right now is 379.00 in NY. I don't want to move my house or cars and Nationwide has been very good on my 01 SXR-700 (107.00 full everything 500 deduct). I am going to shop this Apex around and see what I can come up with. My insurance co. said it's not the cc's any more as much as the replacement value. I have never placed a claim with them and my credit and drivers license are awesome (or this would be over 1000.00 a year with them). That is the first thing they look at. Doug

Captain, Give Rich Foster a call at Liberty Mutual, Batavia, IL, or if your going to the sled show in Grays Lake, IL this weekend, he will be there. I pay $200.00 a year for full coverage with replacement value for my 800 ZR.

its a lot cheaper to insure your sled with the same company you use for auto insurance. progressive wanted $800 to insure just 1 sled. american family does the sled for $250 with auto insurance.

Just so you all know, American Family quoted be at $280 a year full coverage for an RX-1.
Im not complaining because I know some people are paying $500-$1000 a year to insure the same sled.

Its the insurance cost of sleds crazy? I can insure a YFZ 450 for $130 a year, but a sled costs me about twice as much (and the sled has 1/4 the riding season a quad does!).
